Decon was founded as an independent company at year-end 2002. The focus then is the same as now, developing and producing quality accessories for wheelchairs. Easy to use both for users of carers, in different situations and environments. We constantly strive to maintain a high level of quality in both products and customer service.
As entrepreneurs, we want to constantly improve our products. We constantly listen to what users think, this is our foundation of our development and a prerequisite for us to be able to continue its development.
– We must, as far as technically and economically feasible to design our products, processes and services in a way that does not endanger people and the environment.
– We shall comply with applicable laws and standards on environmental protection and safety.
– Through education to give our staff the opportunity to positively influence and developing environmental work.
– Annually define and monitor objectives and targets to achieve continuous improvement.
– We will endeavor to have as little negative environmental impact as possible.
Sweden has had a tradition that require combination agreement between manufacturers from wheelchairs and accessories suppliers. Manufacturers have not taken responsibility for his product if the original accessories is not mounted, exceptions have been made about the combination agreement existed.
This has many times created a lot of uncertainty about what you can do and what not to do to be on the safe side, if something should happen.
Decon Wheel has traditionally agreements with several manufacturers, sometimes it has arisen, however, conflicts of interest, and when there has been no agreement. In those situations, tests of different manufacturers' wheelchairs performed with Decon Wheels drive unit / accessory.
MPA has issued instructions which facilitates this situation.
Can not write combination agreement with each other, then Decon Wheel assume responsibility for the combination and write a product combination agreements instead without the CE marking of the wheelchair change. The possibility is of course circumscribed by a number of technical requirements that must be met. All of the products to maintain the original security.
